What'll It Be Today? Box? Square? Rectangle?

Etch I came across this site today.  It's the Etch-a-Sketch site.  I don't need to tell you what an Etch-a-Sketch is.  We're all intimately familiar with the frustrating hours of our childhood we wasted while trying to doodle something coherent out of - what amounts to - a cruel joke played on the children of the world by those bastards at Ohio Art.  I never knew anyone who could draw more than a couple of crappy boxes or a fucked up version of their name (God forbid they have to draw an "s"!).  And who could blame us, really?  After all, we're talking about literally trying to dial-in something creative on a plastic slate full of metal shavings dust.  It's not exactly inspiring.  At least, I thought it wasn't inspiring.

Apparently, some big show offs folks out there have been putting in their time mastering this poor man's easel.  That picture is a real demonstration of such mastery.  You can see a lot more here in their art gallery.  I don't know how they do it.  It's not like you can easily correct your mistakes on those things.  All I know is that I now have to hide that site from my kids or they'll quickly learn to scoff at the Etch-a-Sketch crap I currently draw and pawn off to them as stairs, circuit boards  and, my favorite, box of squares.
